I was told almost 25 years ago that "the only constant in healthcare is change". How true that has been in my experience. The industry is as dynamic as ever and it offers great career potential for candidates of varied backgrounds with many different interests.
One of the distinguishing features of the VCU/MCV program is the ability to be placed in an incubator of development through the required third year residency. If it had not been for the connections from this program, I would not have been provided the great opportunity to study within an organization recognized as an industry leader in healthcare organization. Not only did my residency open doors to employment with this organization, but my experiences with this organization opened many doors to a very successful and rewarding career in Hospital leadership. Upon completion of my residency, I was prepared not just for leadership, but for the visionary leadership required in a challenging industry and service to community.
I am blessed to have this career and doubly blessed to have the VCU/MCV name on my credentials.
